Great question. We teach Baptiste Power Yoga in a heated, 90 degree room. This is a physically challenging, flowing practice that will get your heart pumping and tone your body, while also encouraging you to discover your authentic personal power in life. There are lots of styles out there, but we share Baptiste Power Yoga because it’s sweaty, adaptable, life-changing and FUN!
No worries! We rent/sell everything you need. We also have water for sale in studio, as well as a small boutique in case you forget something. (It happens a lot).
Our King St./Downtown studio has side street and metered parking. There's also a public parking garage a block up from the downtown studio beside the Hyatt at 560 King St. Our Mt. Pleasant studio has a big parking lot in the Whole Foods Shopping Center
Our Power 75, Power 60, and Core 60 classes are heated at 90 degrees. Deep Stretch, Buti and workshops are 80 degrees. The heat will relax your muscles, stimulate your cardiovascular system and allow you to take your practice to another level. Sweating is good for you!
Heck yes! All of our classes are open to all levels and modifications will be given, as needed. We do recommend that raw beginners attend our Power 1 classes first. They're not easier. Just slower with more emphasis on basic alignment. If you can't get to Power 1, no worries. Just show up early to talk to the teacher about form and alignment. Like we said, you’re welcome at all of our classes.
Bring your yoga mat, a hand towel and water. We also recommend a yogitoes (or any kind of bigger towel) to put on your mat to keep you from slipping. We do have all of these items for sale or rent should you need them. ($1 for a sweat towel, $2 for mats, $4 for Yogitoes, $3 for water).
All personal items should be left in cubbies outside the practice room, along with your shoes and cellphones. And gum. We lock the front doors during class to keep your belongings safe! And we are not responsible for any lost or stolen items. Please leave your phone on silent, even in the lobby.
Sure can. Our downtown studio has two showers equipped with shampoo, conditioner and body wash and compliemtary bath towels. Our Mt. Pleasant studio does not have showers, unfortunately.
We're so glad you asked! The short answer: Keep coming. We recommend at least 2-3 days a week consistently, or even 4-5 days a week if you really want to see some big results. Our teachers are always available before or after class if you have questions, and we have workshops isolating individual skills of the practice to help you with your form and alignment. You can also schedule one-on-one private sessions with any of our teachers. Just email us for rates and scheduling.
